Thank you for your patience and perseverance. I hope you all are staying safe and helping curtail the spread of the virus while finding comfort and community where you can. The Executive Board of SSA has decided to cancel the 2020 annual meeting planned for Denton. It is unfortunate that we will not be able to enjoy what promised to be an excellent meeting.

I would like to express our sincere thanks to Morgan Gieringer and the entire LAC. I would like to personally thank Morgan for her diligence and good work in navigating this complicated time and moving SSA toward the best decision for our members.

Refunds will be processed as quickly as possible and will be refunded to the credit card used to make the payment, or if registration was paid by check, a check will be mailed.

At this time we are still considering options for sharing the scholarship and professional development opportunities planned for Denton. Amy Rushing and the Program Committee had a wonderful slate of sessions ready to go. Lilly Carrell and the Professional Development committee had some truly great pre-conference sessions planned as well.

The voting this year has been concluded, and chair Ann Hodges and the Nominating Committee will prepare to announce the results of the elections in the coming weeks. The Executive Board will continue to also look to how we can host the annual business meeting and seat newly elected Board members and officers. Meetings of the Board will continue as planned via virtual platforms.
